PU: finishes, care and fit
Matte or patent
The two finishes behave differently. Matte PU is soft, drapes closer to fabric and marks less, which is why the trousers and skirts use it. Patent is stiffer, holds a shape and reflects, which suits structured pieces like corsets and harnesses. Neither breathes, so both are drafted with more ease than the equivalent cotton piece.

Care
PU never goes in a washing machine or a tumble dryer, and heat will crack it permanently. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry flat away from radiators and direct sun. Store hanging rather than folded, since creases in PU do not fall out.
