Overbust or underbust
An overbust corset covers the bust and replaces the top, so it needs no bra and is the usual choice worn on its own. An underbust stops below the bust and is a layering piece, worn over a shirt, dress or bodysuit. Underbust is more forgiving on fit, since only the waist measurement has to be right.

Sizing
Corsets are sized on the waist, never on a dress size. The correct size is normally eight to ten centimetres below your natural waist measurement, which is the reduction the lacing is designed to produce. Read the centimetre table on the product page and measure at your natural waist, not at the hip.
